Error Message or Scenario Solution
An error occurred while using PVT To troubleshoot an issue in PVT, complete the following steps to check the logs:
  1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Johnson Controls\Metasys Performance Verification Tool\logs. The following log file names are included in the folder:
    • pvt-info.log
    • pvt-error.log
    • pvt-windowsservice-info.log
    • pvt-WindowsService-Error.log
  2. Review the log file in Notepad or another text editor.
When generating a Riser diagram, the following error occurs: An error occurred in the creation of the Visio document Ensure you install Visio 2013 or higher in order to generate Riser diagrams with PVT.
When you log on to the server macine to complete changes in Site Configuration which was originally completed by another user, you receive the following error: Access to path C:\ProgramData\Johnson Controls\Metasys Performance Verification Tool\ServerCreds.bin is denied. It is not possible to make site configuration changes.
  1. Close PVT.
  2. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Johnson Controls\Metasys Performance Verification Too.
  3. Rename ServerCreds.bin file as ServerCreds.bin.old.
