After you create an Optimal Start Object using the known characteristics of your building, the OST calculates the best times for startup and shutdown. For Optimal Start mode (Optimal Start Equation), the OST commands the Zone WC Mode Obj attribute to occupied and starts the heating or cooling sequence at the appropriate time. For Optimal Start mode, the OST commands the Zone Occ Mode Obj attribute to unoccupied at the appropriate time.
If you set the Adaptation Enabled attribute to True (1), the OST automatically adjusts the Cooling Constant and Heating Constant as needed.
Note: Warmup and cooldown (WC) is also referred to as the prestart period in the OST object.
