The table below lists the commands supported by the Lighting Output Object.

For the Release Operator Override, Release, and Release All commands, if all Command Priorities have been released and a Relinquish Default is not defined, the supervisory controller gives control to the actual hardware.

Table 1. Lighting Output Commands

Command Name

Parameters

Description

Adjust

Value

Disable Alarms

None

Enable Alarms

None

Fade To

Value

Fade Time

Sends a Fade To BACnet lighting command to the object. Specify a percent value (target level) and a fade time in milliseconds.

Operator Override

Value

Ramp To

Value

Ramp Rate

Sends a BACnet lighting command to the object in which the Present Value of the Lighting Output object is ramped to a target level by percentage. Specify a percent value (target level) and a ramp rate in percent per second.

Release Operator Override

None

Release

Attribute

Priority

Release All

Attribute

Important: The Release All command may not cause an immediate return to automatic operation. The Release All command clears all command priorities, including those that come from applications and features. When this happens, the output point goes to its Relinquish Default condition. In some cases, the application or feature may have sent a command that does not match Relinquish Default. In this instance, the output point does not end in the state that the applications or features intended. This situation can cause unexpected operation to occur; for example, a space could overcool or overheat, a fan might run longer than expected, and so on. If an operator has overridden an input, use the Release Operator Override command.

Step Down

Step Increment

Sends a BACnet lighting command to the object in which the Present Value of the Lighting Output object is decreased by one step. Specify a step increment in percent.

Step Off

Step Increment

Sends a BACnet lighting command to the object in which the Present Value of the Lighting Output object is stepped off by one increment. Specify a step increment in percent.

Step On

Step Increment

Sends a BACnet lighting command to the object in which the Present Value of the Lighting Output object is stepped on by one increment. Specify a step increment in percent.

Step Up

Step Increment

Sends a BACnet lighting command to the object in which the Present Value of the Lighting Output object is increased by one step. Specify a step increment in percent.

Stop

None

Sends a BACnet lighting command to the object in which any ramping of the Present Value of the Lighting Output object is stopped immediately.

Temporary Override

Value, Hours, Minutes

Overrides a point temporarily for a specified period of time. Specify a value in percent, with hours and minutes. After the specified time period passes, the Override is automatically released.

Warn

None

Sends a blink-warn notification to the Lighting Output object at the specified priority.

Warn Off

None

Sends a blink-warn notification to the Lighting Output object at the specified priority, then sends a 0.0% command to the controlled lights after a delay specified by the Egress Time.

Warn Relinquish

None

Sends a blink-warn notification to the Lighting Output object at the specified priority, then relinquishes the value to the controlled lights after a delay specified by the Egress Time.
