  1. Click Launch SCT. The Metasys Launcher opens. Select SCT tab. Select Server. Click Launch. Select the archive you want to work in.
  2. Click Next. Open each user view in Edit mode in the SCT. Use the Find/Replace function to change the name to the new name. Save the user view. Repeat this for each user view. The Site Director portion of the reference updates to match the new Site Director name.
    Note: This step does not apply to NxE85/LCS8520 if they are child devices.
  3. Click Next. Click the Metasys server in the navigation tree.
    Note: It is normal at this time for the site name to be the same as the original server name. Do not attempt to change the site name at this time.
  4. Click Next. Click the Tools menu, then Click Manage Archive. The Manage Archive Wizard opens.
  5. Click Next. On the Action window, in the Type section, Click Download to Device. In the Options section, select the Include Security checkbox so that the ADX user accounts get recreated. Click Next.
  6. Click Next in the Metasys Rename Assistant.
    1. On the Select Devices window, select the devices to download.
    2. Click Next.
    3. On the Schedule window, if you need to schedule the download for a later time, select when you would like it to download.
    4. Click Next.
    5. On the Device Change window, click Next.
      Note: Do not select Use this option to rename a device through the download process. Do not select Use this option to change a device address during the download.
  7. Click Next.
    1. On the Site Login window, click Test Login.
    2. Click Next.
    3. Click Next.
    4. Click Finish.
    5. Close SCT.
