After you install the Kaiterra sensors and commission them with their BACnet ID, you can integrate the sensors within a Metasys system.
From the Metasys Network Engine, you can add a BACnet/IP integration, insert field devices manually, or let Metasys automatically discover new Kaiterra BACnet devices and map in the field point objects from each Kaiterra sensor. This is a manual process to integrate each Kaiterra sensor, which is suitable for a small installation. For a larger installation, consider using the System Configuration Tool (SCT) Rapid Archive Creation (RAC) schedule feature to help you organize the Kaiterra sensor and points and to configure the Metasys UI spaces and equipment relationships.
Note: In order for the Metasys Engine and the
Kaiterra BACnet sensors to communicate over BACnet, they must be on the same IP subnet
due to the restrictions of BACnet broadcast messages. Otherwise, you must install a BBMD
(BACnet Broadcast Management Device) on the Kaiterra BACnet sensors side and the BBMD of
the Engine must be configured to recognize this BBMD.
