Note: To allow the sensor to communicate with Metasys Network Engines, you may need the credentials of an IoT WiFi network. An IT professional may need to verify that the VLAN can support this communication.

Kaiterra Sensedge with graphic display

  1. Install and power on the sensors as described in the installation manual.
  2. Select Settings on the UI display.
  3. Depending on your network, select either WiFi or Ethernet.
  4. Select Device details.
  5. Select Connectivity to enable the BACnet option.

Kaiterra Sensedge Mini

The Kaiterra Sensedge Mini requires a configuration tool that you can download from here: https://support.kaiterra.com/download-kaiterra-configuration-tool.

  1. Install and power on the sensors as described in the installation manual.
  2. Remove the cover and toggle the On/Off switch to On. For the next 15 minutes, the sensor acts as a WiFi access point with a network name starting with Kaiterra-SE-200.
  3. Connect to the network to receive configuration information through the configuration tool.
  4. Enter the network parameters. When validated, the Sensedge Mini disables the AP mode and connects to the network entered in the parameters.
Note: If communication difficulties occur while commissioning a Sendege Mini, toggle the On/Off switch to reactivate the AP mode. For further information, navigate to https://support.kaiterra.com/sensedge-mini.
