How do I start working in JCT?
Before you can start working in JCT, log in to the System Configuration Tool (SCT) and upgrade or update your archive.
When you log in to JCT, you are prompted to select an archive in the Select Archive dialog box. You must select an archive to start working in JCT.
In the Select Archive dialog box, you can see the archives with their respective version in the drop-down menu. To select an archive, choose an archive from the drop-down menu. Then tap or click SELECT ARCHIVE. If there is an archive that has not been upgraded in SCT, the archive displays in the list, but the SELECT ARCHIVE button is disabled.
How do I open a different archive once I am logged in and using an archive?
To select a different archive, open the User menu in the upper-right of the screen, then tap or click

Why do I see a No Spaces are configured message after I select and open an archive in JCT?
Your archive may not have any spaces or equipment configured in your archive. Log in and verify that your archive has spaces configured.
How do I refresh the archive I am currently working on? How do I update the archive with the changes recently made?
- Open the User menu in the upper-right of the screen.
- Tap or click Archive.
- Tap or click Refresh All Archives. The Refresh All Archives window opens.
- Tap or click REFRESH ALL ARCHIVES.
- When you refresh and update your archive, you and other users are logged out of JCT. Log back in to JCT to view the updates made to your archive.
- When in the Graphics Manager and selecting an archive after refreshing all archives and logging back in, you may receive an error message. To resolve this issue, dismiss the error message and select an archive.
- Ensure all Metasys UI graphic editing is saved for all users in all archives before refreshing all archives.
- You have to refresh all archives after a Site Director name change.
- You can also refresh the archive by logging out and then logging back in to JCT.
Can multiple users work in the same archive at the same time?
Multiple users can work in a particular archive at the same time. Also, users logged in with different user names can access the same archive at the same time. However, there is a limit of 25 concurrent users creating or editing graphics in JCT.
What happens to my changes when multiple users work in the same archive at the same time?
When multiple users are working in the same archive at the same time, the user to save last overwrites any changes or updates made by other users. If multiple users are editing the same Metasys UI graphic at the same time, the user to save last overwrites any changes or updates made by other users.
