What are the components to working on graphics in the JCT?
- Graphics Manager is the single point of entry for creating and editing Metasys UI graphics, including Aliased graphics, Master Layer graphics, and custom templates. The Graphics Manager also allows you to view and manage space and equipment associations with all supported graphics.
- Graphics Editor allows you to create and edit Metasys UI graphics.
- Graphics Style Guide provides best practices and tips on creating Metasys UI graphics.
What platforms support the Graphics Manager and Graphics Editor?
The Graphics Manager and Graphics Editor support computer platforms with a minimum of 1600 x 900 resolution with the web browser zoom level set to 100%. Smaller monitor resolutions are not supported due to reduced functionality and UI issues.
What permissions do users require to access the Graphics Manager and Graphics Editor?
The Graphics Manager and the Graphics Editor are available to all SCT users, including users that do not have the System Configuration Tool system access privilege. To access the archive database in JCT, it must be at SCT Release 11.1 or later.
What graphics are supported in the Graphics Manager?
- Creating, editing, viewing, and associating Metasys UI graphics, including Aliased graphics, Master Layer graphics, and custom templates
- Viewing and associating Graphics+ graphics created in the Graphic Generation Tool (GGT)

Can I navigate between graphics?
- In JCT, open the Graphics Editor for the required graphic, as outlined in How do I access the Graphics Editor?
- From the basic symbol library, add a button symbol to the graphic.
- In the Bindings panel, configure the button's bindings to reference a
graphic from the Network tree. Note: In the Bindings panel, you can find the Metasys UI graphics in the Network tree by expanding the Graphics folder under a Metasys server or any engine that supports Metasys UI graphics.
- Save the graphic that you are editing.
- In SCT, open the same archive and then complete a sync or download operation for the server or engine where the graphic you edited is located.
