The Simple View perspective is built into the tool and always available.

When you run a simulation or view live data in the commissioning mode, changing values are highlighted by a color. Colored highlighting is determined by the frequency that the value changes. As poll cycles return consistent values, the highlight fades away. This feature brings attention to changes throughout the application data system, exposes potential relationships between values and modules, and assists in troubleshooting.
Note: Temporary color highlights appear in three color stages (blue, yellow, and red). After the third stage (red) is reached all subsequent consecutive changes continue to display red. For more information on status color, see Table 1.

The following figure shows the Simple View perspective of the user interface. The table describes the components.

Menu Bar

Includes the menus available in the tool. See the Menu Bar section.

Mode Button Toolbar

Use to switch between the modes of operation while working in the tool. The mode buttons are:

If desired, you can undock the Mode button toolbar and move it to a different area of the screen.

Operation Buttons

Use to perform specific tasks in the tool. The operation tasks and buttons are:

Edit Button

Use to edit parameters.

Status Bar - System

Indicates the hardware assignment indicator, system capacity indicator, and system information link. See the Status Bar section.

Status Bar - Application

Indicates the current connection type, connection status, current mode, perspective name, and current release mode. See the Status Bar section.
