The PRAC Status Output displays details about what the PRAC+ calculation did during its most recent execution. You can view the PRAC Status Output in the Simulate mode or the Commission mode of the CCT/PCT UI. Right-click the PID and select View > Details (Figure 1). Table 1 provides a brief overview of the messages that appear in the PRAC Status Output.

Message |
Description |
---|---|
Normal |
Operation is normal. |
Monitoring load disturbance |
PRAC is monitoring the pattern of a load disturbance. |
Monitoring setpoint change |
PRAC is monitoring the pattern of a setpoint change. |
Tuning not updated |
PRAC monitored a pattern of a load disturbance or setpoint change and determined the pattern to be insignificant. |
Gain decreased |
The proportional band was increased due to an aggressive or unstable control. |
Gain increased |
The proportional band was decreased due to a slow oscillation |
Normal tuning update |
PRAC has monitored a pattern and performed an update of the proportional band and integral time. |
