  1. Drag the BACnet IP integration object from the navigation panel to the display panel. The Focus tab for the BACnet IP integration appears.
  2. Click Insert > Field Device. The Insert Field Device wizard appears.
  3. In the Destination window, select the BACnet IP integration if not already selected and click Next.
  4. In the Select Definition Mode window, click the Manual radio button, then select General BACnet Device. Click Next.
  5. In the Identifier window, enter a unique name for this device. Click Next.
  6. In the Configure window, select the Hardware tab and enter the expected Instance Number of the Bert device.
    Note: The Bert device instance number is usually a derivative of the last five or six characters of the Bert device MAC address and can be obtained by exporting the Bert Connect Gateway database. See the Exporting the Bert device information from the Bert Connect Gateway section or consult the Bert documentation to determine the unique BACnet instance numbers for the Bert devices. Click Next.
  7. In the Summary window, click Finish. The Extension wizard appears.
  8. Click Done since we are not interested in adding extensions for the device.
  9. The Field Device Extension wizard appears. Click New and continue inserting field points as described in Inserting field points.
