After you install the Bert devices, and commission them to report to the Bert Connect Gateway, and the BACnet gateway is running, you can integrate with Metasys.

From the Metasys NAE, you can add a BACnet IP integration, insert field devices manually or let Metasys automatically discover new Bert BACnet devices for you, and map in the field point objects from each Bert device. This is a manual process to integrate each Bert device, which is suitable for a small installation. For a larger installation, consider using the System Configuration Tool (SCT) Rapid Archive Creation (RAC) schedule feature to help you organize the Bert devices and points and to configure the Metasys UI spaces and equipment relationships.

Note: In order for the Metasys NAE and the Bert BACnet gateway to communicate over BACnet, they must be on the same IP subnet due to the restrictions of BACnet broadcast messages. Otherwise, a BBMD (BACnet Broadcast Management Device) must be installed on the Bert Connect or BACnet gateway side, and the BBMD of the NAE must be configured to see this BBMD.
