This topic describes how to resolve an ADS/ADX failure after a Windows Update.

An ADS/ADX may stop responding or may fail after Windows operating system updates are applied. After applying Windows updates to the ADS/ADX computer, we recommend restarting the computer.

To ensure the ADS/ADX continues to function, disable automatic Windows updates. Configure a regularly scheduled manual Windows update process. When you apply an update, monitor the system to ensure that the server continues to operate normally. Perform a restart if required..

On a Windows 10 computer, the ADS software may stop working after a major Windows Update. If you encounter this issue, contact your local Johnson Controls field support technician.
