In the following task, use the 1 in. (25.4 mm) or 2 in. (50.8 mm) Delrin spacer.
Procedure
Drill a 5/8 in. (15.8 mm) hole in the drywall.
Insert the two sensor wires through the top of the 1 in. (25.4 mm) or 2 in. (50.8 mm) Delrin spacer.
Thread the 1 in. (25.4 mm) or 2 in. (50.8 mm) Delrin spacer onto the back of the sensor.
Use crimp connectors or wire nuts to connect all the wires.
Insert a small piece of foam or insulation into the bottom of the 1 in. (25.4 mm) or 2 in. (50.8 mm) Delrin spacer to better insulate the sensor.
Insert the sensor assembly into the wall until it is flush to the wall as shown in Figure 1. You can gently tap the sensor assembly with a hammer to get it into the drywall.
