For the Software Manager that runs on an offline machine, the Machine Tag
(View-Only) dialog box appears when you
click the Machine Tag link. The Machine
Tag dialog box displays the current
known Machine Tag. If the Software Manager has no Machine Tag
data, it displays as: Undefined.
If the Software Manager cannot connect to the License Portal as the machine has no Internet
connection, or the online connection setting is set to
None
(offline) the following message appears:
Unable to connect to the License
Portal. See Online connection setting for more information.
