You want to deactivate a license on a machine already connected to the Internet. If you choose this option, the Software Manager verifies that the machine has an Internet connection. See Online deactivation for more information. This option is disabled when the online connection setting is set to None (offline). See Online connection setting for more information. You can deactivate multiple licenses when you use an online deactivation. |
| Offline with a License Deactivation File |
You want to deactivate a license on a machine not connected to the Internet. If you choose this option, you need to download the license deactivation file from the License Portal using a different computer already connected to the Internet. Transfer the file to the offline machine. See Offline deactivation for more information. You can deactivate only one license when you use an offline deactivation. |
