While modulating hot gas reheat is active, the condenser fan on circuit 2 may be shut off for two reasons:
  • OprOAT < CondFan2OATCutoutSP
  • ModHGR > Proportional Max Out Value

The first reason checks to see if the outdoor air temperature is less than the cutout setpoint. If so, it shuts off the condenser fan. To turn back on, OprOAT must get at least 2 degrees above CondFan2OATCutoutSP.

The second reason checks the current command of the hot gas reheat valve to see if it’s at or above the maximum position defined in the Hot Gas Reheat Setup menu. If the hot gas reheat valve is at or above the maximum position, and CondFan2MaxPosCutoutEn = Enable, the condenser fan is shut off in order to achieve more heating capacity.
Note: The gas reheat valve may open above the maximum position when ModHGRFullOpenAllowed is set to Yes as described earlier in the document.
