CUP receives input from predictive data that the Plant Optimizer prediction algorithms generate, from manual input that the user maintains, and from third-party data providers.

CUP uses two categories of input data:

  • Forecast inputs are predictive inputs that the Plant Optimizer generates or obtains from a third-party provider. The CUP optimization engine uses forecast inputs to guide operation of your plant automation system. In most cases, you can override forecast inputs.
  • Manual inputs are data points that users maintain. CUP uses manual inputs in conjunction with forecast inputs to guide operation of your plant automation system.
