About this task

After a one-time initial large data export, the Plant Optimizer exports Change of Value (COV) data to the OpenBlue Plant Simulator. You can configure the frequency of data export and the volume of data that the Plant Optimizer sends with each export.

The Plant Simulator creates a unique reference key and sends it to the Plant Optimizer. For multiple Plant Optimizers exporting data, the Plant Simulator creates separate unique reference keys and sends them to each Plant Optimizer. When the Plant Simulator receives data, it checks the reference key to identify which Plant Optimizer it is communicating with.

To configure data export to the Plant Simulator, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. In the Administration interface, from the menu bar at the top of the page, select Configuration.
  2. In the Customer tab, locate the Planning Data Export section.
  3. In the Plant Simulator export endpoint field, enter the endpoint of the Plant Simulator endpoint to which the Plant Optimizer sends data.
  4. In the Max PT Exporter Days, enter the upper limit of how many days of data the Plant Optimizer can send in one export operation. The largest value you can set is 30 days.
  5. To configure the frequency of data sending, contact a Johnson Controls technician.

    During the initial export of past data, it is best practice to set a higher upper limit for the volume of data, for example, 30 days, with a frequent export period, for example, one hour, so that Plant Simulator can receive up-to-date data as soon as possible. Once the data is up to date, you can request the Johnson Controls technician to configure the export frequency and volume according to your everyday needs.
