Net Zero Advisor Energy Manager

Default timeframe selections for NZA users

Net Zero Advisor OBEM portfolios use monthly utility bill data rather than continuous meter data. For OBEM NZA subscription users, the default timeframes for widgets on both the OBEM landing page and Energy Manager pages default to an annual timeframe to minimize blank widgets and better represent the data availability from monthly utility bills.

Improves user experience by minimizing the number of blank widgets and providing data-rich visualizations, even if utility bill data for the most the current month has not yet been delivered by the customer’s utility provider.
Net Zero Advisor and Net Zero Advisor Plus Setup

Meter-level utility data ingestion

OBEM ingests utility data from partners such as Arcadia Utility Cloud API to support complex utility bill structures, such as when invoices contain accounts, sub-accounts, and meters for multiple sites. Users can accurately distribute multiple meters loads and line items to a particular building.

  • Improved flexibility to support more customers with complex utility bill structures.
  • Improved utility bill data quality and faster NZA onboarding.
  • Ability to map and track utility bill data to individual buildings
Net Zero Advisor and Net Zero Advisor Plus Setup

Invoice copy download

Users can view and download copies of utility bills in PDF format, imported from Arcadia, directly from the Setup application’s Utility Bill Manager tab. OBEM provides secure storage of PDF links and retrieval functionality.

Note: Copies of manually uploaded invoices are not currently available for download.
  • Enables faster NZA onboarding as users can verify the bill amounts and quantities were transposed correctly into OBEM.
  • Streamlines the process for customers undergoing an independent third-party audit of their greenhouse gas emissions inventory report in which auditors seek to verify invoice details.
Net Zero Advisor and Net Zero Advisor Plus Energy Manager

Offline energy meter logic to update timestamp to match utility bill period

The improved meter logic processing ensures offline meters that display data in Energy Manager match the utility invoice bill periods. The enhancement addresses unique situations where invoices cross over into multiple months.

The feature aligns the meter and invoice time period logic to make sure the distribution of utility usage and cost data by month matches between Energy Manager and Utility Bill Manager.
Net Zero Advisor Plus Reports

Building Solar Energy standard report

For Net Zero Advisor Plus users with solar photovoltaic energy production meters, OBEM now offers a standard ReportBuilder PowerBI report option to summarize solar energy generation across the building portfolio in comparison to total building energy use, grid import, and major end-use energy types. The report uses meter type or meter tags to analyze data.

  • View how much renewable energy is being produced relative to overall energy consumption for a building, campus location, or portfolio of buildings.
  • Users can also share the report with non-OBEM users, executives, and other stakeholders.

Workplace Advisor Space Space Performance

Improvement in the calculation of Maximum Occupancy

Improved maximum occupancy calculations across all space levels correctly represent maximum occupancy at higher space levels. This update ensures the occupant reporting at higher space levels does not double count people seen at lower space levels.

The improved calculation allows users to correlate basic raw data and calculated aggregated data, assuring the correctness of values displayed in the widgets.

Date and Time Indication on IAQ and Clean Air Delivery Score

Users can now see the date and time (wherever applicable) on the IAQ scores and Clean Air Delivery scores (time not applicable) and the air quality parameters.

This helps users to understand when the score was last updated and helps correlate the impact of parameters on the IAQ score.

Improvements in the IAQ alerts section

Low Indoor Air Quality Alerts is renamed to Indoor Air Quality by Score. This section contains all the zones that have IAQ scores and the parameters contributing to the IAQ score. When users click on the parameter, they can see the complete details of the parameters, its value, and whether they are in the good, moderate, poor, or hazardous range.

Users can now view all the zones, its IAQ scores and the parameters contributing to the IAQ scores without having to click through all the zones and get a bird's eye view of all zones in the buildings.
Workplace Advisor Indoor Air Quality Space Performance

View the thresholds for each air quality parameter

Users can now see the thresholds associated with each parameter for each zone.

This is helpful to understand the reason for showing parameters as good, moderate, poor, or hazardous and helps correlate the parameter indication with the thresholds.
Workplace Advisor Indoor Air Quality and Performance Advisor Space Performance

Introduction of hazardous range in IAQ

OBEM adds a fourth category called Hazardous to the IAQ score in categories.

Users can now see the IAQ score in more detail and its direct impact on health.

Room-level Asset Operational Schedules

  • Define operational schedules for assets mapped at the room level. While creating or editing a schedule, users can now see the room as an additional selection available in space selection and can choose rooms as required.

  • Users can access assets mapped for the selected rooms. If there are any conflicting items at the room level, users can also check their details.

  • Users can review and take actions on room-level schedule details in Operational Schedules by selecting the room from the OBEM space hierarchy.

Users can create a dedicated operational schedule across assets mapped for individual rooms. Facility managers can better tailor fault detection and asset control commands based on a room-specific schedule.

Display equipment name in header within 3D Viewer

Users can now view the name of the selected equipment on the header section of the 3D Viewer to enhance the user experience and avoid repeated equipment names.
Enhanced user readability and better user experience.
Equipment Performance Advisor Plus Space Performance

3D Viewer Heatmap View color assignment for IAQ data that exceeds or falls below a threshold

  • For the 3D Viewer widget, if the raw IAQ data point (Temperature, Carbon Dioxide, TVOC, and PM2.5) value exceeds the threshold, users can see the assigned color for the maximum values or range while reflecting in heatmap.

  • Similarly, when the raw IAQ datapoint value falls below the captured threshold for a dedicated parameter, users can see the same assigned color for the minimum values or range while reflecting in heatmap.

Users can now view dedicated colors for values that exceed or fall below thresholds. Previously, when values exceeded or fell below the threshold, the heatmap did not display. This enhancement improves the user experience.
