Use online meters when you have a physical meter that you want to connect to the OBEM system. The meter transmits data, including calculations and reports, to OBEM.
You can also assign virtual points to an online meter. For example, if a meter has a demand point but not a consumption point and you want to monitor both. You can create a virtual consumption point in that meter. To calculate the consumption point data, you can use arithmetic calculations based on the demand point.
