OpenBlue Central Utility Plant (CUP) is a unique, scalable software that uses real-time information to reduce energy use and operating cost, without sacrificing reliability. CUP assists plant engineers and operators in making both planning and operating decisions.
CUP consists of the following two software tools:
- The CUP Plant Optimizer collects up-to-the-minute data and applies predictive algorithms to help plant operators stage equipment and select set points to achieve maximum cost savings.
- The Plant Simulator makes it possible to run simulations of different plant designs and find the optimal configuration, operating strategies, or utility rate structures. This way, operators can reduce both the initial costs and the lifecycle operational costs of their central plants.
