Use the information you collect in the planning period to define building equipment. The following work flow uses example data. Beginning with Tower 1, define the chillers with the worksheet data from the planning period:

If the chillers serve the entire building, map the chillers to the building level of the space tree. Define all of the chillers for the location before you progress to the air handling units and other equipment.

Tip: Complete each equipment category individually before you start the next equipment category.

Tip: In some systems, a single piece of equipment serves multiple spaces. For example, you may have an air handling unit (AHU) that serves multiple floors. In this case, you can map the AHU to its actual location in the building. This will simplify the configuration effort and record the AHU data in the space tree.
