KPIs
The Utility Bill Manager provides four KPI cards at the portfolio, location, and building level to help the user understand their financial spend including: Utility Consumption, Space and Infrastructure, People and Services, and Capital Expenses.
- Each of the KPIs have budgeted cost compared to actual cost based on a selection of timelines. Compare their finances against the target to see if spending is on track or if spending is higher than expected.
- The actual spend of each KPI is broken down into components to help the user identify where most of the spending has occurred.
- The analytics focus on the what, where, and why for each of the KPIs.
Portfolio level dashboards
The following dashboards are available at the portfolio level:
- Location Performance displays how each location is doing in terms of each KPI, utility consumption, space and infra, people and services, and capital expenses. Click the hyperlink to view the selected location.
- Connected Location provides a map view of each location. Click a location to display the KPI associated with the location and to get an overview of how each location is performing in terms of finance.
Location level dashboards
The following dashboards are available at the location level:
- Operating Expenses (Utility Consumption) displays operating expenses for utility consumption for the selected financial year, in terms of cost heads defined for space and infra, for the selected location.
- Operating Expenses (Space and Infra) displays operating expenses for space and infra for the selected financial year, in terms of cost heads defined for space and infra, for the selected location.
- Operating Expenses (People and Services) displays operating expenses for people and services for the selected financial year, in terms of cost heads defined for people and services, for the selected location.
- Capital Expenses displays capital expenses for the selected financial year, in terms of cost heads defined for capital expenses, for the selected location.
- Location Performance provides an overall view of the spending from different buildings under the selected location for Utility Consumption, Space and Infrastructure, People and Services, and Capital Expenses.
- Total Energy Spend displays the total utility spend for each commodity, for each month of the selected financial year.
Building level dashboards
The following dashboards are available at the building level:
- Operating Expenses (Utility Consumption) displays operating expenses for utility consumption for the selected financial year, in terms of cost heads defined for utility consumption for the selected building.
- Operating Expenses (Space and Infra) displays operating expenses for space and infra for the selected financial year, in terms of cost heads defined for space and infra for the selected building.
- Operating Expenses (People and Services) displays operating expenses for people and services for the selected financial year, in terms of cost heads defined for people and services for the selected building.
- Capital Expenses displays capital expenses for the selected financial year, in terms of cost heads defined for capital expenses for the selected building.
- Total Energy Spend Yearly displays yearly spend on the utility bills of each commodity for the selected building.
- Total Energy Spend Monthly displays monthly spend for the selected financial years on the utility bills of each commodity for the selected building.
- Total Cost Breakdown Last 12 Months displays the total cost breakdown for each commodity for the last 12 months, shown in the form of a pie chart. View the contribution of each commodity to the total cost.
- Rolling Trend Energy Use/Cost provides the spend and consumption for the selected building for the last 12 months. Choose between energy and water categories. Energy consists of total consumption and cost from electricity, natural gas, and steam.
Account level dashboards
The account level dashboard displays the account level data for each commodity compromising of consumption and cost. There is a breakdown at invoice level detail, capturing the usage and cost for each billing period, and consumption for each billing day and unit cost.
- Rolling Trend Energy Use/Cost displays the rolling trend data of consumption and cost of the last 12 months for the selected account.
Analytics dashboards
View analytics at the portfolio, location, and building level through KPI cards, including:
- Utility Consumption displays the spend on utility consumption for the selected location or building in terms of cost, area, and year. View changes from budgeted cost and from the previous year. The KPI card displays which cost head has contributed to the increase or decrease in financial spend for the selected location or building.
- Space and Infra displays the spend on space and infrastructure for the selected location or building in terms of cost, area, year. View changes from the budgeted cost, and from the previous year. The KPI card displays the cost head that has contributed to the increase or decrease in financial spend, for the selected location or building.
- People and Services displays the spend on people and services for the selected location or building in terms of cost, area, year. View changes from the budgeted cost, and from the previous year. The KPI card displays the cost head that has contributed to the increase or decrease in financial spend, for the selected location or building.
- Capital Expenses displays the spend on capital expenses for the selected location or building in terms of cost, area, year. View changes from the budgeted cost, and from the previous year. The KPI card displays the cost head that has contributed to the increase or decrease in financial spend, for the selected location or building.
