OBEM automatically collects, analyzes, and displays information for all configured physical meters and virtual meters located in a facilities operation. Information for energy demand and consumption is aggregated and displayed using standard dashboards. Users can customize the dashboards. Use the built-in automated reporting tool to generate summary reports from the dashboard data.

Dashboards are designed to help users comprehend energy and equipment data intuitively. The information displayed identifies inefficiencies in the building operation to help reduce energy costs.

Charting and Dashboard Basic Requirements

OBEM provides, at a minimum, standard templates, based on industry best practices for energy monitoring, and for direct visualization of key energy parameters, such as:

  • Utility Consumption trends, electricity, water, and gas, with benchmarks
  • Electricity load profile
  • Electrical power factor
  • Energy tracker with baseline and performance

OBEM is capable, at a minimum, of the following charting and data visualization features:

  • User selectable facility, building, and floor dashboard in a multiple building and location environment
  • Location comparison of similar parameters and KPIs
  • Pre-defined and user-definable dashboards
  • Automatic update of the dashboard when new data is delivered
  • Display data in bar or chart format
  • Multiple chart types, namely horizontal and vertical bar charts, line, column, area, pie chart, and heat map
  • Provision of multiple Y-axis, for line and bar charts, for different parameter types
  • Provision to drill down through multiple time resolutions, such as yearly, monthly, daily, and hourly, on a single dashboard
  • User selectable dates, such as day, month, and year, for on-the-fly data representation at the dashboard
  • Automated data grouping by time interval in 15 minutes, hour, day, and month, in a single dashboard
  • The value of the sample data point at the dashboard and chart is available on a tool tip
  • Zoom in and out of the dashboard for better viewing of trends
  • Generate reports out of dashboard graphs export in PDF and Word format
  • Export dashboard graph data into different formats, such as CSV, PNG, PDF, and XLSX
  • Provision for the display of weekend and holiday consumption in different colors
  • Select global date range so that all dashboards show the same timeline with a single click
  • Remember each user timeline on the dashboards and present them upon each visit
