Baselines provide a reference tool to compare actual energy use to a predefined baseline for all energy parameters for a space or meter.
Compare energy performance before and after a change has been made to the site or system.
Baselines can be created for:
- Location Energy Performance (KPIs)
- Define Your Dashboards
- Plant Room Dashboard
Users can manually input baseline details or upload baseline details through an Excel spreadsheet, use the baseline templates provided, or amend the information to configure their own baselines.
Baselines are defined on a daily basis to monitor consumption and track the deviation from the baseline on a daily basis. Daily baseline definability is available on the energy performance dashboard, energy forecast, and custom dashboard and chiller consumption baseline dashboard.
OBEM automatically creates weather adjusted baselines when a utility has 12 months of data. Users can customize these baselines using different timeframes and Degree Days thresholds to better match their objectives. Weather adjusted baselines help users to compare the baseline and performance year consumption by removing the impact of weather changes between the baseline year and the performance year.
