Discovering EDMI meter data points - Johnson Controls - LIT-12012431 - Software Application - OpenBlue Enterprise Manager - 4.0

Discover data points from an EDMI meter so that you can configure OpenBlue Enterprise Manager.

1. In the Data Collector configuration interface, navigate to the Device/Point tab.
2. In the Data source type drop-down list, select EDMI meter.
3. In the Data source drop-down list, select your data source.
4. At the bottom of the page, click Discover devices to discover EDMI meter devices on the same subnet as the Aaeon unit. If you have a large number of points, this may take a while.

   To discover EDMI meter devices on a different subnet, click Add device, manually enter the device details, and click Add.

5. From the data source table in the center of the screen, select the devices and click Discover points to discover the points in each device.
   Note: Within the Data Collector configuration interface, you can also edit specific points. Click a point in the table to edit the name, unit type, unit for that point, read frequency, series type, point role, and point state. You can view the state and value details of the point when you click … in the Point State field. Click Update to save the changes.

   To discover devices and data points on different subnets, complete the following steps:

   1. In the Data Collector configuration interface, navigate to the Device/Point tab.
   2. In the Data source type drop-down list, select EDMI meter.
   3. In the Data source drop-down list, select your data source.
   4. At the bottom of the page, click Add device.
   5. In the pop-up box, enter the EDMI SQL Device name, Host name, MAC address, and Port. Contact the site IT administrator to obtain these details.
   6. Click Add to discover this device, and then click Discover points to discover the data source points in this device.
