Before you can configure OpenBlue Enterprise Manager, you must connect your Metasys, Facility Explorer, or third-party building automation system (BAS), so that you can discover the BACnet® IP devices and data points from your data collector. You may need to enable BACnet® IP routing on the devices that you want to connect.

About this task

To configure your data collector, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. On the desktop of the Aaeon® unit, double-click the Data Collector shortcut.
  2. In the Username and Password fields, enter the username and password that you receive by email from the development operations team, and click Log In.
  3. On the Data Collector page that launches in the previous step, navigate to the Data sources tab.
  4. From the Data source type drop-down list, select BACnet.
  5. In the Data source name field, enter a name for the data collector. For example, 1LappQuayDataColl 1FX80DataCollector.
  6. From the Time zone drop-down list, select the time zone of the Aaeon unit.
  7. With the Enable check box, select Enable, and click Add to add the new data collector to the list of data sources. A pop-up confirms when this process is complete.

Results

Next, you must discover the BACnet® IP devices and data points that the new data collector contains, so that you can configure these data points in EM.
