OBEM software is provided and activated through cloud-based licenses subscribed by the customer (through Johnson Controls channels). License durations are in 1 or 3 year pricing models and are priced using the estimation template and Deal Desk Review process. The licenses are all inclusive with software, technical support, bug fixes and upgrades.
- Upgrades include new enhancements and are indicated by a new release number and “what’s new” information. The license subscription fees do not cover any labor or other incidental costs.
- Newly placed 1-year subscriptions are active for 1 year from the date the license is activated. Newly placed 3‑year subscriptions are active for 3 years from the date the license is activated.
- License renewal is determined by the terms of the order form, statement of work, or other forms of contract as applicable. Thirty (30) days before a license is set to expire, users are notified of the expiration at each logon up to the day of expiration.
If the user does not renew within the allotted time frame, a grace period of 30 days goes into effect; data continues to be collected but the user is not able to see any dashboards, reports, work order management. After the 30th day, data collection ceases. Upon further logon, the user sees a screen notification that the subscription has expired and to contact their Johnson Controls Representative.
