The open orders list contains the details of each order. You can see the next order to manage at the top of the list based on the expected delivery time or the time when a user placed an immediate order.
The open orders list contains the following columns:
- Order Status: an order cycles through the following statuses:
- New: you can accept or reject the order. If you accept the order, it moves to the in progress status.
- In progress: the order is in progress.
- Ready: the order is ready for pickup.
- Delivered: the customer has received the order. The order automatically moves to the order log.
- Order Id: the unique identifier of the order.
- Item Name: the list of food and beverage items that the order contains.
- Ordered By: the full name of the user who placed the order.
- Delivery Method: delivery or takeaway.
- Delivery Location: the check-in location of the user who placed the order.
- Expected Delivery: the expected delivery time, or for immediate orders, the column displays Now.
- Order Placed: the time when the user placed the order.
To manage open orders, complete the following steps:
- To accept or reject a new order, tap the status in the Order Status column, and in the window that
appears, choose from the following options:
- To accept an order, optionally select a tentative lead time from the list, and tap Accept. The user who placed the order receives a notification that redirects them to the application where they can view the tentative lead time that you enter.
- To reject an order, tap Reject, and optionally enter the reason for the rejection to provide more information for the user. The user who placed the order receives a notification that redirects them to the application where they can view the reason that you enter.
- To change the status of an order that is in progress or ready, tap the status
in the Order Status column, and in the
window that appears, complete the following steps:
- From the status list, select an available next status.
- Tap Done.
Note:- When you change the status of an order, the user who placed the order receives a notification.
- An order that is in the delivered status automatically moves to the order log.
