To create a category, complete the following steps:

  1. From the navigation panel, select Workorder.
  2. On the work order page, click the Category Information tab.
  3. In the upper right, click Create New.
  4. From the Select language list, select the language.
  5. From the Select CMMS system list, select the CMMS.
  6. From the Category type list, select whether the category applies to an issue or a request.
  7. In the Category field, enter the name of the category.
  8. Optional: Select the Special category check box for the Companion CMMS if this is a special category.
  9. In the Sub category field, enter a subcategory name. To add more subcategories, click + Add. To delete a subcategory, click the Delete icon in the relevant row.
  10. Click Save.
