A room is a meeting room on a floor.
About this task
Procedure
- From the Home page, in the navigation menu, select Space Configuration.
- From the Space Tree pane, select the location, building, floor, and zone, then select Room.
- Click Add New.
- From the Space type list, select the type of the room.
- In the Space name field, enter the name of the room in all applicable languages.
- In the Space area field, enter the area of the room.
- In the Room description field, enter a description of the room.
- In the Room capacity field, enter the capacity for the room.
- In the Email field, enter the email address of the main user of the room.
- In the Display name field, enter a display name for the room.
- From the Resources list, select the resources available in the room.
- From the Business Unit list, select the business unit that the room belongs to.

If you want to make this room a VIP room, select VIP room.
Note: All users can book a VIP room, but VIP users can override the bookings of non-VIP users. To make a user a VIP user, assign the VIP override permission in the calendar feature for that user. To configure user permissions, see Configuring user permissions.
- Click Save.
