Table 1. Hardware and software troubleshooting
Symptom Possible cause Corrective action
Display is blank. Internal fuse is blown.
  1. Measure the voltage across pins 1 and 2.

    • If the measured voltage is between 24 and 30 VAC, but the display is blank, the NSD is possibly defective. Go to Step 2.

  2. Unplug the 2-pin connector from the RPC for 2 minutes. The internal fuse automatically resets.

  3. Plug in the NSD and check the display. If the display is still blank:

    • Verify that all wiring is correct.

    • Verify that the circuit breaker is on.

    • Verify that the transformer primary measures 110 VAC.

    • Verify that the transformer secondary measures 24 to 30 VAC.

If you measure voltage in the range of 24 to 30 VAC between pins 1 and 2 of the NSD, all wiring has been checked, fuses have been reset, and the screen is still blank, then the NSD is probably defective.

NSD is defective.
  • If you have completed the corrective actions in the Fuse is blown possible cause, and the screen is still blank, then the NSD is probably defective. Replace the NSD.
