You can configure the Located In ontology tree to allocate terminal devices and large systems to a specific building or floor.

About this task

Enable the Commissioning Mode to view the three ontology trees on the right of the Professional Productivity Tool window. To enable Commissioning Mode, click View and select Commissioning Mode. The three trees are Located In, Serves Spaces, and Serves Equipment.

The structure of the Located In ontology tree is a descending hierarchy in the order Portfolio > Location > Building > Floor > Wing>Room. A user must place the terminal devices on each floor according to their location in reality, and place large systems in a mechanical space folder.

To place equipment in the Located In ontology tree, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Select an item of equipment, or group of equipment items, in the Equipment Area and drag to the appropriate space in the Located In ontology tree. This action updates the Located In column of the Equipment Area pane.
  2. Click the arrow inside the Located In column when you mouse-over it. Items that you do not assign to equipment display a dash symbol in their Located In column.
  3. Click on items that remain in the Equipment Area and drag them in to the Located In ontology tree until no items remain.

Results

The Located In tree contains all items of equipment from the Equipment Area pane.
