There are regular new releases for the Professional Productivity Tool (PPT) for both product fixes and template changes. You must check the Professional Productivity Tool SharePoint site to get the latest version. The upgrade versions include release notes so that you are aware of the reasons for the upgrade.

To upgrade the Professional Productivity Tool, complete the following steps:
  1. Uninstall your existing version of PPT. For more of information about how to uninstall PPT, see Uninstalling the Professional Productivity Tool.
  2. Install the new PPTInstaller64-1.2.x.msi file.

The new version of PPT installs on to your device. You may receive a prompt to upgrade your project. You must accept the prompt to upgrade your project.
