About this task

You can install the Professional Productivity Tool when your computer complies with the system requirements.

Complete the following steps to install the Professional Productivity Tool:

Procedure

  1. Download the Professional Productivity Tool install package from the Johnson Controls® SharePoint site and save it to your Downloads folder.
  2. Right-click on the file PPTInstaller64-1.2.0.zip.
  3. Click Open.
  4. Drag the PPTInstaller64-1.2.0.msi folder onto the desktop.
  5. Right-click on the PPTInstaller64-1.2.0.msi folder.
  6. Click Install and follow the installation wizard instructions.
    A notification displays confirmation of a successful installation when the installation is complete.
  7. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Johnson Controls\Third Party Installs.
  8. Run VisualBasicPowerPacksSetup.exe and follow the installation wizard instructions to install the VB power pack.
    Note: You do not need to complete this step for a subsequent PPT upgrade.
    Note: We recommend that you create a desktop shortcut to start PPT, and another desktop shortcut to access the PPT data folder.
    • The full path to the executable file is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Johnson Controls\PPT for Metasys Enterprise Management (MEM)\ProfessionalProductivityTools.exe.
    • The full path to the PPT data folder is: C:\ProgramData\Johnson Controls\PPT.
