Configuring the Loytec configuration server - Johnson Controls - LIT-1201668 - System Integration - LonWorks Integration

Open the Windows Internet Explorer web browser.

Enter your assigned IP address in the URL. The Loytec Device Info screen appears.

Select Config from the vertical menu on the left.

Log in with the administrator password to access the Loytec Config Server. If you are using firmware prior to Release 4.0, the default administrator password is admin. If you are using firmware at Release 4.0 or later, the default administrator password is loytec4u.

Select IP from the vertical menu on the left. The Config IP screen appears.

Configure the settings shown in Figure 1. See Table 1 for the options to select. Some settings vary on a per-site basis and must be modified accordingly. The IP settings are unique to your computer.

Click Save Settings.

Click EIA-852 Device in the menu on the left. The Config EIA-852 Device screen appears (Figure 2).

Configure the settings shown in Figure 2. See Table 2 for the options to select. Some settings vary on a per-site basis and must be modified accordingly. The Config server address and Config server port settings are unique and cannot be used by any of the devices defined in the members list. The Config client port setting must match all devices defined in the members list.

Note: An encryption warning message may appear when you are configuring the settings. You can ignore this message. This behavior is typical for LonWorks protocol. Most sites do not require encryption.

Click Save Settings.

Click EIA-852 Server in the menu on the left. The Config EIA-852 Server screen appears (Figure 3).

Configure the settings shown in Figure 3. See Table 3 for the options to select. Some settings vary on a per-site basis and must be modified accordingly. The server is enabled on only one device. All others are disabled.

Click Save Settings.

Click EIA-852 Ch. List in the menu on the left. The Config Channel List screen appears (Figure 4).

Note: This screen is only available on the device that is enabled to be the configuration server.

Click Add Device.

Enter the device name, IP address, and port in the open fields.

Click Save.

Repeat Steps 15 through 17 for each device. Each device name in the list updates after the IP address and port are entered and saved. A successfully configured system has a green check mark in the Stat column.

See Table 4 to determine the status of your devices. Systems that do not have a green check mark do not function correctly. If necessary, see Troubleshooting communication between the configuration server and devices.

	Unregistered	The ANSI/CTA-852 device is not registered with the IP-852 channel.
	Not Contacted	The ANSI/CTA-852 device has not been contacted since the configuration server has started.
	Registered	The ANSI/CTA-852 device is successfully registered with the IP-852 channel and is fully functional.
	Not Responding	The ANSI/CTA-852 device is registered, but it is not responding at the moment.
	No Extended NAT	The ANSI/CTA-852 device does not support the extended NAT mode. This device is disabled.
	Disabled	The ANSI/CTA-852 device is disabled, or rejected, on the channel.
