About this task

The GS3000 Gas Detection Sensor features a gas sensor pod that is pre-calibrated. You can replace the pod with a new calibrated pod if required without removal of the enclosure and the main processor circuit board (PCB). To complete the sensor pod swap, follow these steps:

Procedure

  1. Unplug the pod cable connection from the main board in the enclosure.
  2. To remove the pod, unscrew counter-clockwise.
  3. To install the new pod, screw in clockwise.
  4. Reconnect the pod cable to the connector on the main PCB.
    Note: You do not need to make any adjustments or apply gas to the transmitter when you use the sensor swap method.
