Figure 1. CO zero calibration

Procedure

  1. Press and hold the UP key for 3 s to initiate the calibration process.
  2. When the calibration completes, the display shows DONE.
  3. Press MENU to advance to the next selection. A CO Zero Calibration Counter increments every time you perform this step and the CO Re-Cal timer is reset whenever you perform this step.
  4. Attach the 250 ppm CO gas bottle to the regulator and firmly tighten the regulator by hand.
  5. Moisten the sponge and squeeze out any excess water.
  6. Place the sponge in the cap so that the sponge does not plug the hole in the side of the cap.
  7. Install the cap over the CO pod to be calibrated.
  8. Turn on the regulator to begin gas application. Wait 3 to 5 mins for the sensor to stabilize, then press and hold the UP key for 3 s to initiate the calibration process.
  9. When the calibration completes, the display shows DONE.
  10. Press MENU to advance to the next selection. A CO 250 Calibration Counter increments every time you perform this step and the CO Re-Cal timer resets whenever you perform this step.
Note: If the reading is not within +10% or -10% of the expected value, the unit does not calibrate and reports a failure.
