Supplemental heating coils are normally located in the space without forced airflow. Baseboard heating is a common example of a supplemental heating coil.

  • Electric Staged supplemental heating coils have one stage.
  • Hot Water (or steam) coils can use one of three possible signals.
    • Proportional Output creates an analog output to control the supplemental heating valve.
    • Incremental Output creates two binary outputs to control a floating supplemental heating valve.
    • Two Position Valve creates a single binary output to turn the supplemental heating coil on and off.
  • Packaged Coil (SCR) adds an analog output to your application and control, it for an analog electric heating coil (SCR stands for Silicon Controlled Rectifier). The Include Heating Enable BO option adds a BO to enable as heating coil when needed.
