The minimum on and off times of the sequencer create problems for PRAC+ adaptive tuning. Unless the minimum on and minimum off times are very short, the sequencer causes large cycling in the process variable. PRAC+ monitors these oscillations and tunes the PID controller to a sluggish state. It is not possible to configure the minimum tune band and the dead band of the PID to allow PRAC+ to tune these systems.
