About this task

When a field controller is running with adaptive tuning enabled, but is not controlling properly and cannot maintain setpoint within the deadband, possible causes include the PID not having control of the output, an improper process ID, or response issues with the mechanical system. To remedy this issue, first troubleshoot the system and address any problems you find (see Troubleshooting), then reset the tuning parameters. The steps for resetting the tuning parameters vary depending on the release of CCT you are currently using. See the following sections for steps to reset the tuning parameters:
Note: If you have difficulty following the steps in any of these sections, you can reset the tuning parameters by transferring the application to the controller again.
