The selection options for Waterside Economizer are:

  • Quantity:

    • One: Only one heat exchanger is added to the control system.
    • Two
      • Rotate to Balance Runtime: The device with the lowest runtime is preferred. The other device remains off.
      • Use Stage Two as Backup: HX1 is preferred, but if there is a fault, HX2 activates.
      • Run Both Stages Together: HX1 and HX2 run at the same time

  • Heat Exchangers:

    • Economizer Suitability:
      • Dry Bulb
      • Dry Bulb + Building Load
      • Wet Bulb
      • Wet Bulb + Building Load
    • Totalize Heat Exchanger Runtime
    • CHW Isolation Valve:
      • Valve Open Status
    • CW Isolation Valve:
      • Valve Open Status
    • Maintenance Switch:
      • Maintenance Switch (BI)
