The following table describes the attributes used by the Heating Proportional Output with Enable module.

Table 1. Heating Proportional Output with Enable Attributes
Name Type Description Default Value
Absolute EWMA Effort   This value is an Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA). It is computed by the PID primitive and is based on the Current Present Value and the Last Present Value. It is the absolute value of the difference between the two. 0.0
Absolute EWMA Error   This value is an EWMA value of absolute value of (Setpoint - Process Variable). 0.0
Compensator Cmd   Analog percent output that controls the single actuator that is providing cooling or heating. This output incorporates the lead compensator. 0.0
Control Status   Current status of the module. See the PID specification for more information. Overridden
EWMA Error   This value is an EWMA value of difference (Setpoint - Process Variable). 0.0
EWMA Present Value   This value is an EWMA of the current Present Value. It is based on the difference of (Present Value - Last Present Value.) 0.0
Failsoft Value   This is the value of the output when commanded to control and the process variable is unreliable and the process variable failsoft is set to False. 0.0
Flush Position   This is the value the output will be commanded to when commanded to Water Flush. This value is sent directly to the Percent Cmd output. There is no checking to determine whether the unit is configured for heating or cooling. 100.0
Heating Enable   This output enables the heating device before the percent command is activated. Off
HeatingCooling   This configures the module to be either compatible with a cooling source or a heating source. Heating
Limited Max Value   When commanded to Limited Max, this is the value the output will be restricted to. 100.0
Mode

Indicates mode input:

  • Off: Set the Common Percent Cmd to 0%.
  • Max: Set the output for maximum. The Percent Cmd is set to 100%.
  • Limited Max: Set the output for maximum with a limit. The Percent Cmd is set to the Limited Max Value.
  • Water Flush: Set the output to the Flush Position value.
  • Hold: Hold the Percent Cmd output at its current value. If the Output Overridden input is true, then the Output Position input is passed to the Percent Cmd.
  • Control: Adjust the output to control the Process Variable. If the Process Variable is reliable, the module controls the output to maintain the process variable at the setpoint. If the input PID Tuning Reset is not Normal, the Reset Tuning input to the PID is set true causing the PID to recalculate its tuning parameters.
  • Failsoft: Set the output to the Failsoft value.
Off
Output Overridden   This input indicates when the actual output that is controlled by this output controller has been overridden by a user. False
Output Position   This input provides the current Present Value of the output that this controller drives. 0.0
Percent Cmd   Analog percent output that controls the single actuator that is providing cooling or heating. 0.0
PID Tuning Reset   This input causes the PID objects to reset their tuning parameters to the default based on the appropriate Process ID. Normal
Process Variable   When commanded to Control Cooling or Heating, this is the variable that is to be controlled and must therefore respond to changes in the output. Typically connected to the Zone Temperature. 72 °F, 22 °C
Setpoint   This is the desired setpoint for the process variable to be controlled to when commanded to Control. 72 °F, 22 °C
Process Units   This parameter specifies the units for the PID. See the PID specification for more information. For this particular module, °C and °F are the only two valid values. °F, °C
1 C - Configuration Mode Only, G - Default Element (Generated State, if applicable), SC - Simulation and Commissioning Modes Only, V - Calculated Value (Outputs)
