About this task

You can generate a license for an entire bundle product with Automated Bundle Product Licensing when you click the bundle's purchase order number to view the order details. You can generate the license for activation in online or offline mode. To generate a bundle license, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. In the Orders sub-tab, search the list for the purchase order number of the Tool Bundle product, then click the purchase order number link.
    Alternatively, enter the order number for the Tool Bundle product in the search field, click Search, and then click the purchase order number link.
  2. In the Action column, click the Choose Action menu. The following two actions are available:
    1. Transfer Bundle
    2. Automated License Generation
  3. Click Automated License Generation. All products included in the bundle are automatically selected to include in the Automated License Generation.
    Optional: Deselect any products that you do not want to include in the Automated License Generation.
  4. Select whether you want to generate online or offline licensing.
    1. Online: when you select Online, a check box appears. Check the check box.
    2. Offline: when you select Offline, a System ID and Machine Tag field appear. Enter the system and machine information.
      Note: The System ID must begin with an asterisk, followed by letters and numbers.
      Note: If the License Portal detects an issue with the information in either field, a red pop-up error message appears in the upper-right corner of the page. The error message indicates the issue that you must resolve.
  5. Click Generate.

Results

Offline activation: License Portal downloads the [SystemID]-[MachineTag]-Activation Keys.zip file to the Downloads folder on your computer. The zip file contains the Activation files of all the selected products for offline activation.

Online activation: License Portal downloads the [ProductName]-Activation Keys.zip file to the Downloads folder on your computer. The zip file contains one file for each selected product with the Activation Key in it.
