The total number of wireless devices allowed on any one PAN (Personal Area Network) or managed by a single Supervisory Controller is dependent on site requirements and general construction variables conducive to supporting wireless networks. A typical wireless system consists of these limits:

Note: Refer to the applicable WRG1830/ZFR183x Pro Series Wireless Field Bus System Technical Bulletins (LIT-12013553, LIT-12013554) for more information.
  • Up to 8 WRGs for each Supervisory Controller (FX80/SNC dependent)
  • Up to 35 WEFCs for each WRG
  • Up to 100 WEFCs for each Supervisory Controller (FX80/SNC dependent)
  • Up to 9 WRZ Sensors paired to each WEFC
  • Up to 100 total WEFC and WRZ Sensors for each PAN
  • Add additional repeaters as required without adding to the 100 total WEFC/WRZ limit. A good rule is to keep the number of repeaters on a PAN to less than 10% of the overall wireless device count.
