A system that has a WRG1830 Wireless Router Gateway connected to a ZR1831 Pro Router such as a Wireless Network Coordinator provides a wireless interface between a supervisory system on an IP network and WEFCs on the ZFR1831 Pro network. In addition to providing IP routing, the WRG Gateway User interface also allows you to view and edit equipment controller configuration parameters, setpoints, schedules, and alarms through a browser interface.
Every wireless mesh network, also known as PAN, requires one WRG1830 Gateway (including associated ZFR1831 Pro Router), which initiates the formation of the mesh network.
The ZFR1831 Pro Router can be remotely mounted regardless of where the WRG Gateway is installed, and as a best practice, mount the WRG Gateway inside an enclosure. Mount the ZFR1831 Pro Router outside of the enclosure for maximum performance. The ZFR1831 Pro Router is powered from and communicates to the WRG Gateway through a cable connected between the two devices.
