About this task

To replace an existing ZFR1831 Pro Router, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Prepare the new ZFR1831 Pro Router by setting its PAN OFFSET switch as described in the job site drawings.
    Important: Do not connect the ZFR1831 Pro Router to the field controller or the 24VAC (Repeater) before setting the PAN OFFSET switches.
  2. Unplug the ZFR1831 Pro Router from the field controller or 24VAC source.
  3. Using the WRG UI, start the Join Timer so that the router is able to join.
  4. Install the new ZFR1831 Pro Router and connect the field controller or 24VAC (repeater configuration) to the router.
  5. The ZFR Pro Router joins the network as indicated by its signal strength LED.
  6. Allow up to 30 minutes for the WRG Gateway to recognize that the ZFR1831 Pro Router has been replaced.
  7. Verify that the field controller reports online to the supervisory controller . If this device is not online, see Troubleshooting for more information.
