About this task

To replace an existing WRZ or NSW8000 Series Sensor, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Prepare the new WRZ or NSW8000 Sensor by applying its mesh application overlay and setting its DIP switches (WRZ) or rotary switches (NSW).
Important: The PAN OFFSET switch setting must be the same for all the ZFR1800 Series and WRZ or NSW8000 devices on the same wireless mesh network.
  2. Turn off power to the WRZ or NSW8000 Sensor that you wish to replace.
  3. Remove this WRZ or NSW8000 Sensor.
  4. Install the two AA alkaline batteries (supplied) in the new WRZ or NSW8000 Sensor.
  5. From the WRG UI, navigate to Mesh Tools > Join Settings to start the Join Timer so that the sensor is able to join the network.
  6. Move the POWER switch to the ON position.
  7. Mount the new WRZ or NSW8000 Sensor.
  8. Wait 1 to 3 minutes for the sensor to find the network. Press and release the Occ button. Wait for the flash reply. Ensure that there is at least one flash. If not, see Troubleshooting for more information.
  9. Secure the sensor to its mounting base.
