Procedure

  1. In FX Workbench, from the Tools menu, click Certificate Management > User Key Store.
  2. Click New.
  3. In the Generate Self Signed Certificate window, complete the following required fields:
    • Alias
    • Common Name (CN)
    • Organization (O)
    • Country Code (C)
  4. From the Not Before and Not After calendar, select the date and time when you want the certificate to be valid for. It is best practice to choose the Not Before date as one day earlier than the job starts.
  5. In the Certification Usage area, click CA.
  6. Click OK.
  7. In the Private Key Password window, create and confirm a password for the certificate. Click OK.
  8. To export the CA, in the User Key Store table, select the CA you created. Click Export. Click OK.
  9. Save the CA to your local hard drive. It is best practice to use the certManagement folder in C:Users/<user name>/Niagara4.x/tridium.
